Kids Classic Pedal Planes

Eeek, might be a bit off topic but I’m trying to get a young child hooked on classic aviation so please mods can I have some slack???

I have a God Child and his birthday is on the horizon. I remember seeing kids wooden pedal planes at a PFA rally once. I think they did a Tiger Moth and maybe a DR1 – can’t remember exactly but they did look good.

Well I’d like to get hold of one – does anyone know more? Had a Google but no joy…

Any leads are much appreciated!!

I’ve seen a few general aeroplaney-shaped ones on Google, but not the ones you mention.

A little on the pricey side, though!

The UK distributor for these planes is here and the Spit is going for £249. The Red Baron is pricey at £399!

Might be next years birthday by the time you finish it! 😀

Carpetbagger – thats the one!!!

Thanks for that – I’ll start now and have it ready for his 25th birthday. The little chap lives in Argentina so I better work towards getting an export CofA for it when its done..

Thanks everyone for allowing a slight “Off Piste”…

Am sure you can get them on ebay – a friend bought a Corsair, they do a P-51, T-6 and Hellcat too! Metal, not wood though

TT

Found this this little thread fascinating so did a quick Google around and came up with this (this company does indeed does a Corsair! but no P-51, T-6s or Hellcats though). Is this the same company for the E-Bay ones TT? http://www.pedalcar.com/category.aspx?sid=6
