Kirkbride Airfield in association with Solway Light Aviation will be holding a fly-in on Sunday 30th July. There will be a small flying display starting at around 2pm featuring the BBMF and a Westland Sea King. Plenty of visiting aircraft are booked to arrive including types such as Extra 300, Jet Provost x 2, Strikemaster, Austers etc. Entry is free but a small donation will be asked for by ‘ladies in shorts wielding buckets’. For further information please call John Plaskett on 01697 342142.

Nice photographs. I did not realise that Kirkbride was still open. All the shots I have taken there are of stored Meteors in the late 1950s!
