Kittyhawk delivery colours.

Would anyone know what colours the early Kittyhawks were painted in when they first arrived in the UK? Photos seem to suggest they may have been in green and dark earth like the early Mustangs but any thoughts would be appreciated.

Chris, Have a look at the Canadian ones for comparison. They were diverted from UK production and delivered and flown in Temperate land Camouflage

Thanks all, I know that very few were delivered but do have photos of a few of the very first batch and just wanted a second opinion.

Here’s an interesting shot of Pilot WASP Betty Jane Bachman in the cockpit of a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk.
Wonder if UK versions also came with the “BOX” ??

US versions of Dark Earth/Dark Green/Sky would be most likely, although not many Kittyhawks came directly to the Uk

Probably Dupont equivalents of DG/DE etc.
