Kiwi to England

Hi All

I’m coming over to England with some F-5000 cars from New Zealand for two race meetings, Brands Hatch Superprix, 22, 23 and 24th of July 2005 and Silverstone Historic 29, 30, 31 July 2005.

I have hopefully arranged a visit to Shuttleworth and maybe Duxford, but I was wondering if there were any flying displays on at any airfields close to the tracks on or near those dates? Can anyone point me towards anything? It would be a shame to find we had some spare time and missed some flying close by!

Kiwi to England

Hi

Thanks for all your help and the birthday wish’s, although at my age I try to forget. The maps is really usefull.

I going to try and get to Lowestoft on the 28th, hard to not travel 150 miles to see a Lancaster having come half way around the world.

When I know more of what I’m doing, I will post it here and try and see if I can meet up with some of you.

Again thanks for your help. I’ll try to not post too many pics from the trip here!

Do you need any extra pit crew ? 🙂
At the top of Skyraiders ‘multimap’ pages, click on ‘directions’ for distance & time between locations.

Kiwi to England

HI

Thanks for your help.

One last favour if possible, I have a had a look on line but can’t get a map with Suttleworth, Duxford, Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Lowestoft and any other places of interest on it. Can someone link me to or e-mail me a jpeg map with these on it. This is so I can hopefully come up with a list of places we can go to when we are free.

Again thanks for your help.

Hi

Thanks for your help. I’m very keen to see the Lancaster, so will try to get there.

Won’t have much free time, but the guys I’m with are to keen to have a look around as well.

I will try and swap one of the Lola’s for the DH2, but I’m not holding much hope as they may notice.

Hi Alex,
What’s your particular aircraft interest(s)? There’s some great museums too. Will you have
a car ++
family —
like minded friends +++? 😀

How mobile do you expect to be?

Also, if you can get yourself over to Lowestoft (on the east coast of England), there is the Lowestoft air display on Thursday / Friday 28th/29th July. BBMF will have the Lancaster Spitfire and Hurricane there, and the Red Arrows are also due to display. You might even get to meet the legendary Snapper… 😉

Alex, the BBMF website suggests that you’re getting a Spitfire and Hurricane overhead Silverstone on the 31st.

Unless someone beats me to it, I’ll have a look in the FlyPast airshow guide tonight when I get home, and let you know what’s going on around those dates 🙂
