Hi,
After a bit of advice as to which is the best aircraft in economy class. I booked flights to the US with KLM back in october last year for myself,my wife & 8 year old son. I have had a phone call today saying our return flight from LA to Amsterdam on 26th october at 12.25 arriving back at norwich 9.15 next day(was scheduled to be a 777)has been cancelled. They are offering 2 alternatives:
1. Same date B747 Combi flight departs LA at 17.50 arriving Norwich next day at 17.55(making a much longer connection in Amsterdam)
2. day earlier 25th on the 777 flight same times as originally booked.
I understand the 777’s have a much better IFE system & are obviously newer than the 747 combi’s.
Any opinions on what i should choose to do?
regards,
Nigel

I flew two KLM 747 Combis over the Christmas period, and as has been pointed out already, the 747s have no personal inflight entertainment. The interior of the 747s are also a little dated.
Even without PTVs though, I found KLM’s inflight entertainment to be of a very high standard though. On each of the flights, the screens were on constantly, showing a wide selection of films, documentaries and TV shows.
