dark light

KLM Cityhopper revises livery.

According to a posting at the Scramble message boards the KLM Cityhopper fleet will be painted in the same livery as the KLM mainline fleet. So more light blue with a small ribbon underneath it. It is not yet confirmed wether it will be a silver ribbon (like current KLM Cityhopper) or a dark blue ribbon (like current KLM mainline).

The first plane to wear the revised livery is most likely going to be PH-WXD. At the moment this F70 is still flying for Malev as HA-LMD but KLM will get it sometime mid december.

I get my first tastes of both Cityhopper and mainline tommorow – should be intersting to say the least trying to use the connection service via AMS for the first time!

Flew on my first ever Fokker 50 today with KLM Cityhopper coming back from Berlin on the Amsterdam-London City leg of my journey. Can’t say I was all the impressed by it, but the approach into LCY over the centre of London was sensational!!

I have had the pleasure? of flying on these a/c numerous times and find them slow, noisy, cramped and the overhead lockers are tiny. When most major airlines are converting to regional jets(CRJ200/ERJ145 etc), it’s time KLM followed suit imo.

Why paint the F50s different from the F70/100s? KLM, please just get rid of them!

Why????

Well, although I was hoping for a complete revised livery I am pleased with this as a fresh bit of paint won’t make their F100s look so dirrty!!
