KLM NEW LIVERY

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-01-02 AT 06:53 AM (GMT)]My friend (who is CEO of KLM VIrtual, the offical one) gave me this in late November. SInce then KLM have dropped the bottom design and are going with the middle one.

A bit like bmi livery i say!

RE: KLM New Livery

I remeber seeing a picture a long time back of KLM proposed new livery and it didn’t look anything like this.

It was more of a retro/up to date design, all this is, they have taken away the thick blue line and replaced it with a thiner one, not much of an improvement!

RE: KLM New Livery

KLM have started to apply the new livery to the rest off their fleet now, This 737-400 being the first to get it.

Not looking too bad.

RE: KLM New Livery

The darker blue is minimised, that’s why I prefer the old c/s, it is now going more towards one/two colour(s)

RE: KLM New Livery

Well atleast its not another one of those all white c/s. Orange wouldnt have gone with it…maybe a wave of light blue or maybe darker blue or somethin like that.

RE: KLM New Livery

Would defenitely not like orange as an extra colour, to screaming I think. KLM is more a “conservative” airline, “a smart follower” (a quote which has been used by the management), reliable and comforting is more the case than daring. In a way most national carriers have quiet conservative c/s.

RE: KLM New Livery

I think a bit of colour would of gone down nice on the KLM c/s…maybe a bit of Dutch orange?

RE: KLM New Livery

My friend runs KLM Virtual and because he works closly with KLM about the VA he is one of the first to know about new things. I saw the three colour schemes a long long time ago but I prefered a different one!

I like it – looks a bit less abrupt with the changing of the colours – as said before looks calmer

RE: KLM New Livery

I do like KLM’s blue and each KLM-employee has a blue heart, some of them might become to arrogant about that though, but this new livery does not really attract me. I still like the different colours, dark blue is less and white is gone. All this to be able to give the logo bigger space is to much for me, isn’t there a very nice logo on the tail already?

RE: KLM New Livery

Certainly a very basic change to the colour scheme but I’m keen on the new one – it seems much plainer, but plainer is better in my opinion!

I dont really like either, but i would say the older ones make the airline look more superior

RE: KLM New Livery

I prefer the new livery. The old one was starting to look a bit dated, however, it would have lasted a few more years. The look is very smooth.

RE: KLM NEW LIVERY

The third one is really good (my choice) but the second one isn’t bad, certainly an improvement on the latest colours.

I agree that the TUI livery is bad, although it is supposed to look better in the flesh (hope to find out soon), but the MyTravel looks great! The picture of the A330 in it looks fantastic.

Does anyone know when the first 330 will be painted in the new colours (MyTravel)? An A320 is due to be painted at the end of Feb, or so I’ve heard.
