Knighthoods, Medals & Sponsers.

Rado, the watch makers, have apparently sponsored Andy Murray to the tune of 9-9 Million, no doubt he has others who will fill the coffers, of a chap who lives in a house worth over 5 Mil, won 1.6 Mil for winning the singles at Wombledom.
The buzz, is that he is in line for a Knighthood to boot.
He was only doing a job, the same as most on here. I recon folks like the A.T.Cs at Heathrow deserve medals.
Do you think medals have lost their credibility in cases like sport? and some other areas.

Yes, for me the honours system has no more credibility now than the Turner prize. Its like Tony Robinson, I’m sure he’s a very nice bloke, does his bit for charity and makes some interesting TV programmes, but a knighthood??? It makes you wonder if they just put a load of names in a hat and pick one out.
On the other hand The Eastern Daily Press reported last week that some bomber command veterans, who had flown on ops over Germany, were being refused the new bomber command clasp because they didnt meet the miminal requirement of having served at least 60 days. (what idiot dreamt that one up?)

As they say, “Money goes to Money”

Anyway, how can he get a Knighthood ?, he isn’t a civil servant or actor. 😀
