Looks very tall for Anson 1, also Anson does not have a blister on the side fairings.

but must admit it points that way

Are we talking about the Armstrong Sidd Cheetahs? This must be a Mk 1, probably posted in Alberta somewhere near the beginning of the BC pilot training program.

The Anson Cheetah engines had “helmets” (bulges on the cowlings), the Oxford’s didn’t.

my first guess wood be anson but not too sure about that exhaust fairing in the lower left of the photo, Oxford maybe???
