Korea E-X delay, again

The ROK MND has decided to delay the selection of the E-X until the May of 2006. The reason being that IAL Elta has not provided the MND with documentation regarding its solution’s communication suite.

Of course IAI Elta can’t give the documentation because it hasn’t gotten the export licenses for the communication equipment.

Although the delay gives the IAI Elta more time, the MND has also hinted that if it doesn’t get the licenses by April, then it will go with the Boeing E-737.

IMO, I say enough with the circus, dump the G-550 and go with the Boeing. At least the ROKAF will get a proven and superior solution.
