I have recently purchased the two new Air-Britain books on the Auster, which are excellent, but nowhere is there any mention of the Austers operated by the Kuwait Air Force? Apparently they had 3 X J/1 Autocrats, 6 X J/5 Aiglet Trainers and 3 X J/5P Autocars. I recall seeing a photo of one of the Autocars awaiting scrapping in a magazine somewhere, but I’m unable to locate it? Does anyone know any info (C/ns or serials) on these aircraft or can locate that magazine photo? Many thanks

There is a photo on the net of the one in the Airforce Museum, there`s a serial on the side of the aircraft, but it is in Arabic , which I can not translate , it may be they used the C/N`s for the serial`s.

Many thanks for that – What I am really after is the photo I once saw in a mag of the J/5P Autocars wrecked somewhere? Also the KAF serials.

Both D & E have been reported in the Airforce Museum but it is more likely E by all accounts.
