Kuwait Strikemaster?

Does anyone know the reg/history of the BAC Strikemaster marked as Kuwait Air Force ‘113’ on static display at Kemble Air Days?

Thanks.

Any reason for the huge G- markings on the Saudi one? spoils an otherwise superb looking machine…

Photographic evidence taken on Friday at North Weald when we had 5 Strikemasters on the apron together including the two in question.

Tom Maloney confirmed to me on Fruiday that is aircraft G-CFBK is actually based at NW and he commutes up to fly it in his Yak 52 (G-BVOK) when required.

Syrikemaster at Shoreham

I believe the Strikemaster seen yesterday at Shoreham is the aircraft operated by Tom Moloney of Transair fame. It is there relatively often due to the large Transair presence at Shoreham.:)

To add to the confusion, or maybe confirm something, this photo is from North Weald on 19 April 09, same aircraft but with light blue undersides ?

G-CFBK has Saudi camo with Kuwati emblems

G-ANPK

That solves it thanks. If it was authentic Kuwaiti camo, it would be a slightly different colour and glossy with red tanks. Here is my photo of that machine at Kemble on Saturday plus a photo of a genuine Kuwait machine. IMO I can’t see what’s wrong with keeping the original, and authentic, Saudi camo and markings?

Albert,

Do you have a photo of the aircraft as there is a big diffence between Saudi (G-CDHB) and Kuwaiti (G-CFBK) markings.

The Strike at Shoreham is G-CFBK and is based at North Weald where it returned on Sunday evenig using the callsign “Viper 1”.

Good question Albert.I posted on ‘Spotted” thread last week that this a/c was at Shoreham. Still is in fact.
Definitly Kuwaiti 113 at Kemble and Shoreham. Check the webcam at Shoreham, it’s sitting right below the camera! I would be interested in it’s history too….

So we have a difference of opinion – G-CDHB (which was actually re-registered last month as G-VPER )and G-CFBK. Anyone care to provide the definitive answer please? Thanks.

Yes.

Actually it’s Saudi AF, currently G-CDHB part of the 4-ship ‘Team Viper’ Strikemaster team. Thus….
