Iraq will buy 24 Czech-made L-159 training jets valued at $1 billion dollars (770 billions euros), a Czech defence ministry spokesman told AFP Friday in Prague.
The deal includes 24 new twoseater planes and four older army surplus aircrafts for free, Czech defence ministry spokesman Jan Pejsek told AFP of the agreement concluded during the last of a two-day visit to Prague by Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
First new L-159 Iraq will get after 2 years. Four surplus Czech army L-159s Iraq will get for free during 7 months.
