Started her long voyage from Pershore to Christchurch, NZ on Wednesday 17th. Sailing today (Sunday 21st) from Hull docks. Originally ZK-TEA, of Tasman Empire Airways, she was the first turbo-prop in New Zealand and they’re keen to get her back!
All log books, including every sector flown in NZ and Aust, from delivery from Burbank to her return to the US in the early 70’s, are going with her.
Two apologies for the pictures – it was p*ssing rain and the photographer hadn’t reset the date!

Now tucked up safe and sound back in Aoteoaroa
Great news, at least New Zealand is looking after its heritage. Rather pertinant considering the letter in this month’s Flypast and last month’s article about the Cosford exodus. 🙁
