An L-39 Albatross piloted by an Italian national crashed at an airshow in South Africa on June 30th. The pilot died in the crash. 🙁 RIP

v sad news indeed.
he was already pulling sharp extra G before entering the disturbed airflow of the wake, note the change in angle of the smoke. control seemed to go just after that but why did he cross over and enter the wake?. would that be a normal part of the routine that they flew or would this suggest something went wrong before entering the wake??. just an observation rather than trying to suggest anything outright.
its of course the air crash investigators proper who will investigate the outcome of another sad loss.

Terrible news – condolences to all involved 🙁
Looking at the video it looks to me like he flew through the wake turbulence of the preceding aircraft which lead to fly control problems and the crash.
