I think Jet2 will have a new fleet by 2012 certainly won’t have the old B733/B752’s still when we get to 2012 I wouldn’t have thought!?

I think FJEA is based at Copenhagen doing flights to Thailand and other destinations.

Still i thought she would be back at MAN by now .

luzair tristar cs-tmp operated to dalaman as fje861 for flyjet who seem to be having problems

I wonder if that has anything to do with the problems they had at NCL. I know that the aircraft at NCL is G-FJEB, wonder where G-FJEA is then.

I belive so mate all of Jet2s 737s were made in the late 80s same for the 757s. But i can hardley see good aircraft like these getting banned if they are kept in good order.

yeah I dont think this ban will work too many airlines have 80’s made aircraft that are all fly ok.

Well rumour has it they are getting another Tristar. Wouldn’t know about it been retired. But i do know that both Euroatlantic and Luzairs tristars are very busy over the summer covering for all sorts of airlines all over the world.

To be fair mate i think the Civvy Tristars will be gone by then. Euroatlantic are already looking for more 767s/

Bad News from EZY

Hi all EZY have said this

easyJet has called on European governments to remove around 700 of the oldest aircraft from Europe’s skies by banning any aircraft built before 1990 from operating within the European Union after 1st January 2012.
The no-frills carrier argues that older aircraft are far less fuel efficient and, therefore, more environmentally damaging than newer planes. As such, easyJet has called for a strict age-limiting policy to be implemented on aircraft used by European airlines. Its proposal is to limit the age of European aircraft to 22 years or younger which would have a dramatic impact on Europe’s aviation emissions and would mirror the progress already made in noise reductions.

Not good news if it get the go ahead:mad: 😡
