We went last year – but was told a truck show was on and unable to visit the Aircraft.
After telling them we come to see the planes they said “Theres lots of nice english trucks to see” Trucks dot turn me on.

I made the trip last year for the first time.
Stayed just south of Paris in Evry, where there are plenty of Travel-Inn-type-places, and it was only about 1/2-3/4 hour drive to LFA, in an almost straight line!
If anyone wants the hotel details, pm me.
Absolutely superb show, and a great atmosphere, plus the food was fantastic as well !!

“Aire 06”
Big airshow, with most of the action taking place over the local beaches!

Around 800 mtrs from the coastline with the sun right in the publics faces! So I’ll pass on this one.

The P51D listed in the program will most probably be the local based one which made a great debut last year.
Those 5 Flamants will also sound great. And TFC P39 & Wildcat are certainly highlights in my opinion.

TFC sending only one Mustang, and no Corsair. 5 planes is what has been agreed : Spitfire (either V or XIV), Mustang, Hawk, Wildcat and P-39.
Intresting to see the P-39 out and about, Has it appeared anywhere but Duxford so far?, Who is current on her at the moment?.
Pity its the same weekend as my Local show at Biggin because it looks a great line up and i have never been there before.

I didn’t make it down there last year, and would like to try again this year. By what date (apprx.) would it be wise to have hotel reservations sorted out? This in order to not having to travel all over France in search of accomodation!

😡 Great, just great! Does the european airshow council achieve anything with their claims to stop events clashing!?
Biggin Hill same weekend and for the further travelled, a big event at Murcia, Spain. I wanna do all 3!!! 🙁

From what i gather then, the tfc are sending both mustangs, the curtiss hawk, the p-39, the hellcat, corsair and spit v. should be quite an airshow!! the parachute drop from the dc 3 should be quite a sight!!

Thanks for posting S.
For anyone who hasn’t been to LFA, I think ‘not to be missed’ is my description.
Duxford really isn’t the centre of the universe.
