In the true spirit of the forum, several members took advantage of the incredibly bad weather at La Ferte Alais yesterday to bring a little of the spirit of Popham to France. Mike J, Andy-in-Beds and Papa Lima were seen to be sitting in the Memorial Flight bar, drinking Calvados at 9:30 in the morning while it slashed down outside, getting stuck into some serious slagging of other forum members. Patty, Robbo and a whole host more would have had burning ears!
I, of course, rose above all this.
No doubt someone will post pictures in due course. Any that look like me are photoshop fakes as I was not there misbehaving in any way, shape or form.
Oh yeah, and my aeroplane broke.

It didn’t look that good at La Ferte yesterday!
Popham looked good tonight at 18:00 when we joined overhead!

Ah, Popham, yes, I remember that.
Turned up and stayed until midday but then decided to leave because the weather looked like this (see below).
Shortly after, it cleared and a whole pile of aircraft arrived!
Now that’s what you call luck … I called it something else but I think if repeated here there would be a lot of these: *****

I asked God to send bad weather because I knew AiB in particular would be insulting defenceless forumites unable to be present due to circumstances of their own laziness.
So your own laziness made you move from slagger to slagee?
While it was wet yesterday we managed to avoid the security nazis (most patheticly over the top security for any show I have ever seen) and show the three around the hanger.
I just PM’s Vanessa that she might like to start learning French.
Mike J called me on my mobile just as I was starting up to leave.
I ignored him.
