LAA Mag looking good.

Just got the latest issue, and I have to say I think it looks very impressive and contemporary. It is clear someone had ‘designed it’ rather than just assembled the contents.

The photography is creative, even if the air-air stuff of the Sportcruiser and Sierra looks a bit ‘Loopy’ (as in magazine, but that is understandable given the photographer!). Melv Hiscock’s article is nicely put together, and again, pleasingly designed.

This goes a long way to address all the accusations that were levelled at the PFA of being rooted in the past, anachronistic and fuddy-duddy, and promotes the LAA very effectively. For the first time, a cover price (£3.60) is used, but I have not heard that it will be available in retail outlets. This figure seems more likely to be the LAA subs divided by twelve (months).

As an aside, there is a Moth Minor advertised in the classified section for just £18k, a great bargain surely!

Just got the November issue, and again have to say that the editorial team are managing to consistantly offer a very impressive publication, with effective use of really good air-air photography. The contents is bang up-to -date, with a picture of the Portelli 2-seat Spit, which first flew only a few days ago.

The printing snag this month is an external issue, and it does mean we are all being sent TWO copies for November 🙂
