Just popped over from my natural habitat on the FlyPast Forum to ask you paraffin-lovers if you might be able to help by answering a question.
About 9 – 10 o’clock last night I was bimbling home from Duxford (That’s another story) and my route takes me past the Eastern threshold of the main at Lakenheath.
Surprisingly, since they don’t operate a night to often for fear of antagonising we locals, there were a couple of F15s holding short.
Right by them was an A10.
But this wasn’t holding, it was unmanned, roped off and heavily floodlit.
It’s still there this morning.
Explanation?
