Lanc control wheels / Shackleton Control Column Find

Hi,

2 Lanc control wheels and a shackleton control column have surfaced.
These belong to an author who wrote many seminal books on the Lanc.
Unfortunately these need to go to good homes.
I thought I would share…
I have attached a link to some ropey pics I took.

I would also weigh up offers and consider EBay, but weigh up their charges etc against possible sales, I take it you are trying to maximise monies for the family.
Remember offers here will not be subject to those charges etc from PayPal and EBay.

I think the last Lanc or Lincoln wheel went for something like (approx) 1200-1300 quid on ebay or maybe more?

The SMR Lancasters had 2nd pilot wheels, I assumed (probably wrongly!) that OTU, LFS aircraft had them as well, or was it just Coastal Lancs?

Interesting that one Lanc wheel is for a second pilot. Can’t be many of them around.

A good home means just that, someone who will realise it for what it is, cherish it and look after it.
