Gentlemen.
The Nanton air museum is getting close to the dream of running 2 merlin engines on the Lancaster Fm159 this summer! The Merlin and propellor are now installed in the number 4 position and it is hoped to have both engines running for the public event on August 22/23!

It is the goal to get all 4 engines runnable and have her restored to as she would have been when she rolled off the line. Just to see 2 engines running will be a feat in itself!

well I hope they get all 4 running at some point !
1 is a start, 2 and your half way there ! …
Will this one be following the same sort of process as NX611 ? bringing her back to taxing capabilities ?

Another one starts to breathe.
Silly suggestion time – how about a live TV link up (big screens both ends) between Nanton and East Kirkby so that FM159 and Just Jane could engage in a simultaneous live run. Wouldn’t nescessarily prove anything, but by crikey it would sound nice, and I’d do a 250 mile round trip to see it.
