Lancaster Instrument panel question

Hello All,

Can anybody help with this query, have been asked what type/size of bolts were used to fasten the panel on to the frame in the Lancaster, also what type of nuts were used.

Hoping someone can help.

Regards

I would be suprised if the 3 balloons on the drawing above didn’t amount to screw, washer and nut.

Thank you gentlemen for your comments,2 BA C/S bolts sound very small for a main panel the size of the lancaster but if thats what the drawing says cant argue with that LOL,
but I don’t think loose nuts and washers were used , have been told that either floating anchor nuts were used or 2 lug fixed nuts riveted in place on the rear of the cockpit frame just as in the Spitfire.
Looking for confirmation.

Malcom Goosey sells 2BA brass nuts which are used for instrument mounting in Blind Flying Panels.

If you don’t think they are suitable and you don’t mind non-originality; try here…

2 BA AGS248 – These are brass countersunk, that doesn’t sound very strong does it?

You might also be able to decode the nuts from the attached drawing fragment.
