Lancaster KB976 arrives at East Kirby

Yes just the extended bit is from KB976

I was under the impression that this is mostly new build, with the only original section being the extended nose forward of the cockpit. Or is that incorrect? Just as I thought Kermit Weeks owned most of what is left of the original aircraft.

Where is his other Lanc cockpit based now?

Left Scampton and arrived at East Kirby today by road. This is the front fuselage half, owned by Jeremy Hall.

It seems that with the air show drawinng near the powers that be are evicting the 2 based museums!
