Does anybody know if there is a source for the screw/’nut’ fasteners used for securing the glazing to the glasshouse frame? These are needed for Lincoln Mk.30 A73-27. See pictures attached. I am assuming the extract from AP.1464 is applicable.
We don’t have part numbers at present. I should be getting a hold of the schedule of spares but I understand that it may be missing the applicable section. Other option would be to make some fasteners but given how complicated they are and how many we would need, it is not a very attractive idea! We could simplify the system somewhat but not so keen on that at present.

Thanks AM, everyone. This has been very helpful. I think we have enough now to go and try things!
FYI, Dave from DSG also provided this link: https://www.lancasterbombers.net/books-notebooks-manuals/
The whole Lancaster parts book is there, so that will help us with the sections missing from the Lincoln manual we now have.
Cheers.

Here’s a few snaps from the Lancaster Parts List. Hope it proves useful!

If you would like a few spokes and nipples to play with I can give you some.

I would agree that the ‘screw-on end’ looks very much like a wire wheel nipple. The other part looks very much like a short single butted spoke too. Suggest trying a company like Hagon shocks or central wheels who may well be able to make something very similar ( if not identical ) quite easily.

Fingers crossed for you!

Thank you feroxeng. I see what you mean. We will keep that in mind.
Thanks Adrian. One of our team members has been in communication with East Kirkby and will take this up.
Cheers.

I’m guessing you’ve v tried East Kirkby? They are very approachable on the Book of Face.

The screw-on ends look very similar to pre-war car wire-wheel spokes.
