Lancaster Morse Code Tapper?

Can anyone tell me if this is from a Lancaster or were they used widely?
The story goes that my Dad ‘liberated’ it from a Lanc parked at Tollerton Airfield in Nottingham which was in a scrap line. Sadly I can’t verify the story as he is no longer around,

They are cool items. The metal spring can be used to lock the key down in an emergency to allow homing. But I am sure you all know that anyway

These were standard I believe in most bombers and many other RAF aircraft trainers etc.

Can’t help with the answer, but I think the terminology is ‘key’ rather than ‘tapper’
