Lancaster or Bombload relic parts ID

Hi guy’s,
not often do I get stumped with Lancaster parts, but this one has me wondering for sure. These unusual items were found at a Lanc crash site and try as I might, I cannot find anything remotely like them in the manuals or online. The closest thing I could get to was the supports for the mounting of a 12 or 22000 pound bomb. This isnt right though as this lanc didn’t carry them?? Any ideas??

a nasty bit of iron to fall from the sky!

The only friendly bomb is the one the poet wanted to land on Slough.

That’s them we do have a sbc in the museum. These drop bars from what I gather were lost with the load, a bomb release holds one end and the other just hooks up onto the opposite side. a nasty bit of iron to fall from the sky!

Some info here about half way down the page. Diagram is small but you can see where the bars sit across the top of the SBC.

Drop bars from a small bomb container, they hold the 4ib inc in the container and are released with the load.
