Have not seen this mentioned before: http://www.lc.nl/friesland/Vliegtuigwrak-Warten-dit-najaar-opgegraven-21454183.html
Lancaster R5682 from 61 Squadron was shot down by flak and a night fighter on September 5th, 1942. Four crew members survived, two were killed and one is still posted as missing. The location near Warten (The Netherlands) (which was used post war as a rubbish tip) is being cleared for environmental reasons, and these require the bomber (and hopefully the one remaining crew member) to be recovered.
More on the loss here: http://verliesregister.studiegroepluchtoorlog.nl/item2.php?SGLO=T1805

That one. There’s a separate thread running on this Wellington in this forum, detailing flight, crew, recovery, identification. There’s at least one member on this forum who has played a role in getting this aircraft and crew recovered…
