Lancastrian info

Could some please tell me if Avro Lancastrians had Lincoln type fins and , did G-AGLS ever carry the stripes under its registration letters like G-AGLV?

Judging by this photo, it seems that G-AGLS didn’t have any stripes beneath the registration, atleast on the fuselage sides. I can’t find any shots clearly showing the reg on the wings.

On the subject of Lancastrians, does anyone know if there have been any more expeditions sent out to the crash site of “Stardust” since the one featured on TV a few years ago? Are there likely to be any more?

See page 77 of ‘Lancaster’ by Christopher Chant. They appear to have the longer trim tabs of the Lincoln / later Lancasters, just like PA474 does today…
The fin was the same, only the rudder different…
