Iberia had two crossed runways, and now a new long one has been built (on the right of the picture. I don´t know if you can´t see it on the picture). This in fact is the shortest, but used essentially for all landings and it´s long enough. Madrid Barajas is having major reforms…..two more runways are being built and two huge modern high tech terminals are also being built. The range of mountains there lie on the North and it´s the Guadarrama Peaks (the only close ski resort of the capital).

Lokks like a priamry departure runway to me – hence long undershoot for extra t/o run – not too long hence landing a/c will prob usually land on the X rwy except the turboprops – cud b worng tho – Keltic might be best to ask!
