Well just got back from Lanzarote and spent quite a bit of time at the airport, got the room I wanted, was able to take pics from my balcony!
Not a bad airport, a lot of German stuff throughout the week (I only need one 757-200 and one A320 of Condor for the 752 and 320 fleets now).
Took a few pics but had a bit of a problem with my camera on Saturday which meant I couldn’t take anymore throughout the week!
From looking at them initially I have posted one I particularly like, typical crosswing landing at ACE!
Also, met EGNM this morning, had a walk down to the airport and a few minutes spotting. Looking forward to meeting a few more of you in July.

Thanks Cloud_9 those damn things don’t half move when your trying to photo them, pity the pictures are small though.
Do you guys use any editing suites before posting? if so recommend any. Free if possible

Hi Rob,
Firstly, thanks for sharing your photos!
Don’t be too harsh on yourself; aircraft photography is just like riding a bike, it takes time and practice but I’m sure you’ll get there, and once you’ve mastered the basics it will come naturally to you and you will soon be posting up some truly amazing pictures.
One of the best things you can do though is to keep on posting photos up and I’m sure that people will be able to give you advice that will help you to improve.
Look forward to seeing more from you soon!

Watch out for the Jet blasts if the aircraft are taking off to the north… Caught a few people out while on a casual stroll along the boardwalk!!!!:D 😉

Turn left out of your hotel, walk approx 5 mins around the beach boardwalk and sit right underneath the end of runway. You can almost touch those beauties!!!!!!

Already spoken to hotel and given My Travel “acceptable” room numbers 😀 (i.e. best ones overlooking approach on top floor so i should be level with them by my estimations!)!!

Have to second that Lanzarote is a great place to go, I was out there at roughly the same time as EGNM last year and its fantastic.
I also stayed in the Beatriz Playa, fantastic Hotel on its own but with its positioning its a dream come true.
If you get the right room you’ll be able to spot from the balcony even without binoculars as its very close. Theres actually some shots on the site EGNM posted above take from the balcony when I was there last year to give you an idea of how close you can get!

great place – one of my favourites – been twice now – try www.plane-mad.com for some excellent ACE reviews!

Well EGNM’s in Lanzarote now, we met on Thursday morning.
Thats three of us in the Canaries at the same time, if it had been timed slightly better we could have got on a Binter flight and met up somewhere.

Hotel Beatriz Playa.
Very, very nice 4 star Hotel, not cheap though!

There was a feature on the Holiday programme about that hotel and it followed a couple of retired gentlemen who would sit on their balcony with binoculars and beers whilst their wives went shopping and sunning.
It looked like a great holiday to me. What was the name of the hotel Dan330 ?
