Hi guys,
Just got back from a 3 week course in Alamo, Nevada (20 miles East of Groom Lake) and around 100 miles North of Las Vegas. Below are some photos taken at McCarran whilst I was visiting Vegas, hope you like them.
If you are ever planning to visit Las Vegas for a bit of photography, check this website out… http://www.visitinglas.com It is run by Dave Budd, a great guy who took time out to show me the great photographic opportunities around the airport…cheers Dave!
All the best

Vegas is to Southwest just as Bristol is to Easyjet….I know strange comparrison!

I agree with the Southwest/Easyjet comarison! After all, the TV show Airline USA is all about Southwest 😉 I recall waiting for a bus near a mall in Vegas, and passing the time planespotting. Virtually all Southwest, and many of them in that 20-odd minutes!
I love the one that looks partially-painted, but as it says ‘silver’ on the side I guess that’s intentional!
And the VS shot reminds me of a happy landing back in March. Mountains, palm trees, stupidly large hotels – you know when you’ve landed at McCarran!

Some nice shots Si!
Good to hear you met up with the King of Vegas. Dave is such a great guy. Met him a few times when I was there back in November.

Fantastic shots Si. I would love to go there myself. My youngest daughter took some shots for me when she visited some time back. It is not a location that looks as if it has trouble with clouds and rain on a regular basis!
