Laser handle – what a/c type?

Here is a laser handle, part of some kind of weapons system, I presume?

It’s in unissued condition, complete with lead and plug.

It’s part of our control column collection but way too modern to mean much to me.

Can anyone supply any details, i.e. what weapons, aircraft type(s), etc?
