Lasham/Southampton photos

Spent a hour or so at Southampton Saturday lunchtime. Very busy with 9 airliners on the deck. But still can be quiet as nothing was due for an hour. Viewing is not bad but the glass is very dirty, but photos are still ok if a bit into sun.
Also poped into Lasham Sunday morning as my girlfriend lives close buy, and was lucky to see a movement. Just a couple of DHL 727’s being scraped and 3 private 727’s.
1 N721MF B727 landing at Lasham, note the winglets
2 G-RBCI Trislander of Aurginy
3 G-RLON Trislander of Aurginy
4 G-JEAV BAE146 Flybe
5 G-JEAJ BAE146 Flybe parked nose into the terminal

Off with Aurigny to Dinard on Saturday, Gatwick – Guernsey in the ATR72, and then Guernsey – Dinard in the Trislander 😀

Worked out at £120 all in, and greatly looking forward to it!!

Aurigny’s newer ones were kits that they put together themselves!

Must be my old monitor as the second photo looks very dark?
The Trislander has had a couple of reincarnations. I think the newer Aurginy ones were rebuilt in Gurnesey and zero times from used frames? I also think there was a scheme in Pueto Rico to set up a new line but it never got anywhere. Anybody know anymore in regular service as they seem very rare now?

Did the Trislander go back into limited production like the Islander did ?

Nice pics, but have you calibrated your monitor, brightness levels look too high in the photos ? 😉

I’ve taken the liberty of adjusting the levels to show you a comparison between the original and with reduced gamma/brightness…

How many pax does the Trislander seat?

I think they are 16 seaters, being single crew too. They only fly the Alderney to Southampton and Bournemouth routes as well as inter island shuttles.
Have always wanted to take the trip as they only fly at about 3000ft, but its very expensive(£180 return I seem to remember) for about a hours flight.
