Last ever chance to fly on a BAC 1-11

Business Jet Access, who operate the very last passenger carrying BAC 1-11 N999BW, will be offering enthusiasts one final chance to fly on this historic aircraft later this year. To enable this event to take place a minimum of 50 enthusiasts need to book a seat to enable two – one hour long flights to take place at a cost of $400 per person. This aircraft is a beautiful executive configured example – and the last of many executive 1-11s that have flown over the years. If you visit my 1-11 website you can look at “special Feature 13” for an in depth report / pictures of similar flight that took place in August 2011. I honestly thought that would be the last chance to fly on the aircraft, but fortunately Business Jet Access have agreed to help us celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 1-11 by offering us one very last opportunity to participate in this very special and one off event.
I can only gauge the level of interest at this stage but if I get enough enthusiasts wanting to sign up for this then I’ll be able to make a booking with Business Jet Access in due course. The flight will take place between the 19th and 26th of October if everything goes to plan.
I look forward to hearing from as many of you as possible who would like to join me in giving the BAC 1-11 a fitting send off to it’s 50 years of sterling service!

Historic BAC 1-11 Charter – Latest Update

Dear All

Ian Allan Aviation Tours and Classic Jet Tours are in the process of finalising details before releasing their itineraries and booking options. I can confirm that four 30 minute flights are going to be booked with Business Jet access for the event at Dallas Love Field on Sunday 20th October 2013. This will be one of the big highlights of the BAC 1-11s 50th anniversary taking place this year.

Various packages will be available through Ian Allan Aviation Tours or you can put your own itinerary together / travel independently and book the 1-11 flight directly through Classic Air Tours.

Each 30 minute flight taken as a stand alone option will be in the region of $240 to $260 or $450 to $500 for two flights. This is subject to confirmation from Ian Allan Aviation Tours and Classic jet Tours.

You can book anything from one to four flights if you so wish! It will be an “all day” event with a buffet and drinks laid on.

This promises to be a fantastic climax to the 1-11s 50th anniversary and it’s entire history as this will almost certainly be the very last chance to “EVER” fly on a 1-11.

Please spread the word about this very special event.

You can see details about a very similar day out that took place at Dallas Love Field on N999BW in August 2011 on my BAC 1-11 website.

Look for Special Feature 13. It’s worth taking a look!

50th Anniversary 1-11 Flights

I can confirm that this flight will definitely be going ahead and bookings can now be taken for this unique event.
It will take place on Sunday 20th October – subject to confirmation and will be $233 for a 30 minute flight on 1-11 N999BW at Dallas Love Field. This aircraft is an absolutely immaculate executive jet and also the very last one!
This price is subject to four flights taking place with 30 enthusiasts on each one. Therefore we will really make a full day of it and make this 50th Anniversary event one to remember.
At this point in time there will be two travel options.

1. Book a tour with Ian Allan Aviation Tours – details to be announced shortly
2. Book directly with Classic Jet Tours once they have officially launched it very soon.

In the meantime anyone interested should contact me at:-

mrshu_a300@hotmail.com

I can take a provisional booking which will then be passed on to either Classic Jet Tours or Ian Allan.

You can find further details of this and a similar flight carried out in August 2011 on my BAC 1-11 website.

I look forward to hearing from some of you.

Best Regards

Peter Clark

Great idea, it’s nice that the operator realizes that some aviation nerd…I mean enthusiasts…would want to fly in a type before its retirement.

What isn’t included is location for the flights and website contact details.

That reminds me of some aircraft I’d like to take a flight in before they’re retired.
