lukeylad………

The point I was trying to make is you cannot qualify the word “unique”, some thing is either unique or it isn’t. Unique means, one, on its own. The only parrallel I can come up with is, it is not possible to be a “little bit pregnant”, you either are or your not (in your case not, I suspect)!!!

Sorry, just being pedantic over the use of the word unique.

Id say there Pretty Unique considering that the Electras they own all of which are around the 50 year old mark are the youngest aircraft in there fleet. But hey thats just how i see it. Plus the fact one of there DC-3’s actully flew on D-Day and it still be used in a Commercial to this day makes them pretty Unique.

Buffalo Airways are a rather Unique Airline p[/url]

Lukeylad………..

Being a pedant I know, but they are either unique (only one of them) or not in which case they are unusual, scarce, etc……………

Thanks for the update! Was this the Electra that was in such poor condition that it wasn’t expected to fly again?

No. At facebook (search for Ice Pilots NWT) you can see Buffalo’s new Electra with the new canadian registration C-FIJV, short time before it left Coventry, fitted with engines and props.

The other one what you mean which was in very poor condition is that one, actual pic from June 2011:

Cannibalized for spares…

Considering it flew out, and Buffalo are not a charity, probably not. But I’m open to correction.

Their Electra mechanic Chuck will knock her into shape!

Buffalo Airways are a rather Unique Airline based in Yellowknife In the North of Canada. They use World War Two Era aircraft like the DC-3, DC-4 and C-46’s for passenger and Cargo Flights. This will make It 4 Electras for Buffalo now Two of which are used for Cargo. This and the Previous Reeve Electra are going to be used as Water Bombers.

If your Interested Buffalo Airways has its own Tv Show Ice Pilots NWT.
