DAS AIR do carry freight into and out of Manston when they are going there for maintenance instead of flying in or out empty.
are there plans to start cargo flights from MSE soon?

Assume the Tristars have rear facing seats as per normal service requirements?
Only seat I ever saw that wasn’t facing forward was the flight engineers seat. Come to think of it; even it faced forward once in a while.

The only civvy triholers i can think of running into the uk now on passengers runs are omani world with a dc-10
euroatlantic and luzi air each own a tristar they have been busy this summer covering for our charter airlines that have aircraft tech so we could see them back next year.
By: tommyinyork - 11th October 2006 at 18:55
Shame non of our charters have 3 holers anymore.

Fed ex also run a md-11 or a dc-10 in to the uk.
PLus Omani world airways has a contract with the MOD for trooping so they have a tri holer in often.

DAS Air Cargo have a fleet of four flying from Gatwick. Manston is just a maintenance base at present.
Have DAS Air Cargo done some cargo flights from Manston?

Its a shame that i may never go on another 3 holer in my life.

If we’re counting cargo carriers as well, DAS Air Cargo use DC10s into Gatwick (and maybe a few other airports- I don’t know).
DAS Air Cargo are now based at Manston but still do the odd flight from LGW so there are 3 DC-10’s based in the UK.
