An Avro Triplane replica was delivered into AirSpace off the back of a lorry today. No I don’t know any more about it. Depending on who I asked it either is or isn’t a flyer. Should be complete by the airshow. Unfortunately the conservation area was closed so I couldn’t get any close up shots. Musical aeroplanes was being played as airframes were moved around in 2 and 3 hanger and I do hope they remember where they stored the tail of the Herald.

Looks like the Manchester museum of Science and Industry’s Avro triplane, don’t know if it’s flown before but it will do
edit – actually, to correct that, it looks like it’s a second replica built by Manchester Museum (which explains why it looks better than the photos of the other in the museum), and will fly
