Had a lengthy phone chat today with one of the Saab captains who says that the initial Aurigny ATR ops (16th June onwards) will not be using BA ATR’s. DAT will be back (at least Preston and I will be happy!) until the Autumn when Aurigny plan to have their own ATR72 in service. The current plan is to move Manchester ops also to the ATR72 next Summer.

Interesting news. I thought it was a BA ATR 72 considering all the things to do with the leasing I heard and also about the BA crew. Anyway, good to hear about them getting their own ATR. The Manchester and Stansted routes will be BAe 146s in the summer weekends so there must be room for the extra capacity.
