LATEST UK T-6 RESTORATION PIX

Yes folks, time for some of the latest photos of our T-6 which now actually looks like an aeroplane, well apart from the wings and engine and stuff… 😮

I am soooooo pleased with her – this is the first time on her U/C for about 40 years…. 😀

BTW thought i’d put a photo up of the nose art I knocked up – French COIN T-6s were called Tomcats cos of their ‘growl’ – shes a Texan and therefore a Texan Tomcat – the character being Tom Cat off of Tom and Jerry, but in the pose of the famous ‘anytime baby’ F-14 logo produced by Grumman, only this ‘cat has only one tail.

One USN squadron adopted the logo (as many do) since their main recruiting area was Texas – hence the six gun….

I rather like it and as we have a lady (well Jo Guest 😉 ) on the nose of the Beech we thought we’d have a cartoon on the Six… 😎

All the best

TT

I know she’s just a Harvard and i guess especially to some of the big players on the forum like OD thats like restoring the Ford Escort of the warbird world….

🙁 At least you’ve got one TT, I would hazard that not a big proportion on the forum has

Hi All thanks for your comments –not just me involved though ‘Hellraising’ Turland (see other threads! 🙂 ) is also heavily involved… we hope to have her on show by the Beech for the first time on the 10th July at the LPG Day – we’d like to do something a bit special for em a) cos they are good blokes and b) they really are cracking on with the QRA sheds –

RL we are at Brunters…

DB…any chance of putting something about the Six on the Beech website

Bod – you can be testpilot !

Stig, Steve x2 Alan, OD and Loco – cheers boys!

I know she’s just a Harvard and i guess especially to some of the big players on the forum like OD thats like restoring the Ford Escort of the warbird world….but its as close as I’ll ever afford to get to something like a P-51/Spit etc….

Still cant beleive that we/I are actually a very small part of this aircraft restoring world that i read about in A******e, Flypast and Classic Wings….

Aint it cool!

😀

Think we’re cooling it for a bit on the T-6 now we can roll her about but watch out for more Beech updates soon kids!
