p.s C/w.com exhibits this picture as a symbol of freedom of expression that should exist in all free nations of the world! For the Record, it was erased/banned c. 2004 by the former webmaster of LAAHS.com because the Moroccan sample was considered “out of limits” in a Latin Forum. -)

B-26 Invader Folks:
Good day fm across the pond!
Among the many B-26 Invader Bay of Pigs stories, is the b/w pic below shown as FAR 933, a solid nose model. C. Apr ’61 at Miami Apt. For many years we believed that this particular sample was the wrong aircraft. Well maybe,… but with the wrong FAR Reg#. According to new accounts of a FAR Chilean pilot (Advisor), there was one lonely solid nose sample at Santiago de Cuba area, a spare parts a/c who somehow was made airworthy during the conflict which later crashed on take -off at the hands of a young Cuban pilot. It was indicated to have been B-26B FAR 937. New details as they emerge later. 2 B Cont…Photo via AEC.

Guatemalan AF Sikorsky H-19s Folks/Sidsiko:
Good Day!
Some new info/data has emerged concerning the ID of the 4/5 samples used by FAG c. 1960s. The included picture is the poss S/n 51-3927 an XFAH 820 that ended in Guatemala as a SAR sample FAG 820 w/ the same s/n. (Now in a dark blue scheme). It looks like the FAG 110 Reg was used at one time by diff FAG H-19s. We are also working on the photo of the ID plate behind the cabin. 2 B Cont.. Photo via FMAH.

Ozfuryfan/XFAH 603 Folks:
Good day!
Greetings fm across the pond & congratulations again for your fine restoration job!
(FYI): You may display with confidence the Buno 123168 & the XFAH 603 logos on your aircraft. There seems to be a lot of conflicting info/data regarding its true id. There is also no other Buno 123168 reg in the US FAA Files as indicated by other sources. Job well done!! Photo via FB Australian Historical Aircraft

If you are interested in the Sk 14 I can highly recommend you contact Doug MacPhail and see if he has any copies left of his book:
http://misc.kitreview.com/bookreviews/saabsk14bookreviewro_1.htm
It’s the only book on this aircraft, as far as I know, and a really good one at that. It has excellent photos of the cockpit and other details, great scale drawings, dimensioned marking schematics, and a text with plenty of notes to references.

I only have one copy and since it’s a paperback I don’t dare stick it under the scanner.
The website where you could buy this book isn’t working anymore and I don’t know anyone who sells it currently (besides the Flygvapenmuseum perhaps?). If you’re interested drop me a private message with your e-mail address and I’ll get you in contact with Doug. I hope he still has some copies.

Good day & happy 2014!
Another interesting S of the border B-25 project is in N. Argentina B-25 AAF 44-31173. Nick “Huaira Bajo” = Low Wind!
There were several samples in & around the country c. 1950s-1960s. This is the only survivor that eventually will take to the skies in a couple of years from now. You may read its interesting recovery, & the great job of some dedicated volunteers & its restoration here:—–> www.B25.com.ar

If you would like to join the restoration folks & perhaps send a contribution to a good cause plz write to —->info@b25.com.ar

Chipmukks folks/Colombian DHC-1 whereabouts??
Chipmunk Folks:
Good day!
Never seen in pictures yet.. but this only sample apparently existed somewhere in Colombia c. 1954-1956. Another source says that the aircraft was w/o when the packing crate came-off the truck during the delivery phase to Bogota, Colombia & went down a deep cliff.
Was this & only sample rescued after the incident? was this aircraft replaced by the factory?
Seeking some more details or pictures of this shipment to Colombia. How were this samples crated? did they have the national insignias painted already? any photos of the export crates process will be appreciated.
p.s ..No c/n known about this aircraft yet!
