Laughter-Silvered Wings

A couple of weeks ago I was at Smeatharpe airfield for the Wings and Wheels show which had some members of the cast of Band of Brothers doing a charity parachute jump (look up Jumping for Heroes). Whilst there I met a gentleman at a stall with pictures of various aircraft in flight on display Mosquito, Buccaneer etc.). I got chatting to him and it turned out he was the pilot of the aircraft pictured. His name is John Pascoe-Watson. He spent the next half an hour telling me and my lad about his time in the RAF and his life after as a test pilot. We were enthralled and could have listened all day!
Anyway, he had his book for sale called Laughter-Silvered Wings. Naturally I bought a copy. One of the best fivers I have spent, I am part way through it and it is a very interesting and amusing read and I thought I would reccomend it to you.
I have no connection to Mr. Pascoe-Watson so I don’t benefit in anyway from his book sales, it was just a chance (and very lucky) meeting.

Mods – If this breaks the advertising rules please remove it, I just wanted to reccomend a good read to the forum.
