Superb shots!
Must be excellent to see what’s going on in front of the aircraft when it’s taking off and landing opposed to what’s going on either side of it (like passengers are forced to do)! 🙂

I would say its a fairly standard take off.
AFAIK, the based Britannia a/c at the moment is G-CDUP though it has been changing all the time.

I’ll be approaching LBA on the 5th september returning from my IBIZA holiday. Flying out 25th august, what is take off like, is it a steep or slow climb?
By: LBARULES - 17th August 2004 at 11:23
More fantastic shots Lyndon, looks like typical LBA weather in the first one!

Tom we had been down to ALC.These are a few shots from down there. The last photo was a helium filled horse drifting over the airfield ? The captain reported it to the tower when it was quite low.All of a sudden it started to climb rapidly and the tower said ” Looks like the horse is doing a go around ! ” Quite whitty i thought. The first pick is a typical morning up at LBA.

According to Jethros, 3 SSVs operating out of the UK this summer, and theirs one at GLA,LBA and im pretty sure EMA ?
By: Ren Frew - 16th August 2004 at 17:21
Indeed that is an SSV A320, as that is based at LBA this year.
I dont think Lyndon likes to hear ‘G-MCEA’ after the trouble it caused at LBA that weekend last year! 😀
I feel bad enough asking Lyndon if he can find out for me in view of his company paying him and Mrs Softlad off. 😮
How many Skyservice A320’s are with My Travel just now ? I thought one was GLA based this summer ?

Superb photos Softlad!

Great shots, Is that the Skyservice A320 ? You might be able to tell me if G-MCEA had a tech problem at GLA on Friday there, or a medical call back to stand ? I’ve been trying to find out since then.
