Hi guys,
Wasn’t sure where to put this, if the mod’s consider this to be the wrong place please move it :).
Last Thursday myself and fellow forum member Steve (LBA-EGNM) had one of my pointless daytrips. We booked flights with Air Southwest from LBA to BRS, Aer Lingus from BRS to DUB and Ryanair from DUB to LBA, meaning a new aircraft and two new airlines for me :). All this cost around £51.
First flight was with Air Southwest down to Bristol onboard Dash 8 G-WOWE. A very pleasant flight with friendly crew, made even better by the fact I was seated in the exit row with lots of legroom! The flight departed slightly late and arrived slightly late, here’s the photo’s from this flight :).

A probably really famous bridge but I haven’t a clue which!

Overlflying Filton on approach to BRS, Concorde is on the ground ;).

After landing, the crew let us take a quick shot of the Dash 8 cockpit, much appreciated!

G-WOWE (Cloud Surfer) from the bus which took us to the terminal :).

Thanks for all the comments everyone – really makes it worthwhile!
mc26 – Maybe I will try NQY one day, if I came via LGW i would have to fly into MAN though.

Excellent report LBARULES. Have to agree with you re Air Southwest and Bristol Airport; fantastic little regional airport and a top service from Air Southwest. Not tempted to try their route from LBA to Newquay LBARULES? I guess a day trip is possible with a return via Gatwick?

In line with what everyone else has said this is a very good trip report! 🙂 Well Done! I’m glad you found the 27 spot – the photos from there are fanstastic! You did well to get the FD shots too!
Regards,
Joe

Excellent well written report with some great photos Tom! I have no idea why, but I really like the first shot of the Dash-8 engine!
By the way, the bridge is the Severn bridge. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been over that thing!

Have to say I think the Air Southwest livery is one of the smartest around. Anyone agree?
Yeah I agree with you Phil 😎 it has to be one off the coolest ;iverys ever for a UK airline.
Great report and pictures there Tom and Steve.

Thanks Dan! I think you are the only member who has more Ryanair flights booked than me at the moment, 9 as opposed to my 8 ;).

Even more great photos from both of you, if I’m honest I’d never found the idea of multiple flights on one day appealing but reading this does make it seem rather fun! 😀 least you got to spend some decent time at each airport.

Very nice photos. Really like the wing views. Also I like the Iberia A320, as I’m flying them next month.
Not sure how famous it is, but thats the Severn Bridge that you saw.
Thanks for that, and thanks for the comment :).

Brilliant photos there too, I like the closeups of the Aer Lingus, especially the engine one and the full length fuselage one. Also really like the 3rd photo, of the Dash 8 parked on stand.

Nice shots, what cam did you use, Ste?

We were in Dublin from about 1700 to 2100 i think.
Nearly, we arrived about 16:00 and left 21:10 😉

There must be something wrong with a setting in the camera i’m using, I resized Steve’s and the 4 shots taken with my phone as well as my shots with the camera to the same size, and the phone and Steve’s shots are much bigger!
