It should really be “Plymouth x 3” ! We did pay a visit to each Whetherspoons at least once.

Very true, we did go to them all, although rather unsurprisingly I’d forgotten about that. Especially as you were feeding me such enormous glasses of red wine! 😀

I’ve spent many an hour in Wetherspoons, Spalds. Mostly with you! Edinburgh, Bristol, Leicester, Wilmslow, Plymouth, Stansted Airport, etc…

I think it’s a very good thing. The queue for security has been known to reach ridiculous lengths at certain times of the day (as our very own bright green jacket LBARULES knows all too well!) Any improvement to help these times flow a little easier will be good. LBA can either be a dream to fly through or a bit of a nightmare (which could actually be said of many airports). When I flew to Dublin last week there were probably a total of no more than 15 passengers airside waiting for their flights. It was probably as deserted as I’ve ever seen the place and it was great to just sit for an hour and a half with a coffee in the quiet. If only it were always like that!

Improvements have to be a good thing and it certainly sounds like big things are planned, but as a building I think it’s non-descript and boring.
