Runway 09/27 received it’s last landing today. An Air Atlantique DC3 – they wanted it to be the Lancaster but it’s unavailable (typically I’m back in the office today after two weeks off so couldn’t go and see it!). Work starts on taxi way Delta this week before the old runway is re-engineered to provide additional taxi ways and holding areas. Only time I ever saw 09/27 used by anything larger than a Cessna was by a Dash 8 during some very heavy winds.
