Learning To Fly

Hi all,

I’m sure many of you have seen many a thread like this crop up in this forum over time, but you can’t beat a new thread, and it would be nice to have the most up to date info as opposed to ressurecting something old.

I have no interest in pursuing a career in the world of aviation, I do not want to be a pilot, but once firmly established within my career choice, would like to learn to fly, perhaps one day pleasure fly like many of you on here do, and would like to ask a few questions here below:

– Where in the country is best to learn to fly at the weekends, to fit around work.
– Just learning at weekends how long is it likely to take to acquire a PPL
– How much is learning to do this likely to cost me in total [and per lesson + exam if this sort of break down is possible]
