Leasing light aircraft in Belize

I’m about to be sent by my company to Belize for a year or so and am keen to continue flying there.

Anyone know if there’s a club/school there which will lease Cessna/Piper type aircraft by the hour?

Also will I need to obtain an FAA licence or could I fly on my UK PPL?

I have around 300 hours total and even managed to blag a 172 for a few hours from time-to-time in the Falklands, so hoping something can happen in Central America.

Many thanks

Any help appreciated!

Chris

Just in case you might visit Blue creek in Belize, can you check out if that Super Constellation there is still around? For years it has been in use as a chicken coop, but I have never seen pics of it. BW Roger

fill in some forms and in about 60days you can ask for your FAA PPL secured on the UK PPL (so that has to be valid to keep the FAA one valid) get the correct VISA and bobs your uncle!
