The quality of these isn’t the best thanks to the poor weather. Despite this though I thought you guys might be interested to see a couple of shots of the nine ship F3 formation that overflew RAF Leeming yesterday to mark the impending disbandment of XI(F) Squadron as a F3 squadron.

I’m glad you liked them guys 🙂 Was there again this afternoon (briefly) to see the four ship flypast for the official disbandment parade. Sadly the weather again failed to co-operate making photography difficult, however here it is anyway…

I think the only word you could use here is immaculate. RAF, best in the world.

Nice pic’s F3, doesn’t seem long ago that they retired the lightnings at Binbrook.

As one who long ago played a tiny part in the development of the Tornado at BAe Warton, I would like to thank you for your excellent photos, it all seems to have been worthwhile!

Thank you for posting the 9 ship photos….it makes up for the brief glimpse I got of them.!!
I saw the F3s as they were heading in from the coast towards Coningsby passing by my works location at Gunby, E. Lincs about 10am.
They where accompanied by another fast jet..no doubt catching some piccys..as it wheeled over and around the formation….
I would like to see some of those photos.!!.
All the best,
Clive.
