Legends.

Having read with some interest some of the ‘dissapointed’ comments made regarding the no-show of the ‘flying’ Vulcan at Waddington, can i just advise people who intend going to Flying Legends to see a specific aircraft fly to check its availability before going.

The lead up to the display is usually a buzz of activity and flying around Dx, what with pilot and aircraft checkouts etc taking place, but it has been decidedly quieter this year. And this was confirmed to me by someone who stated that as of last friday (3rd) there are paperwork issues (CAA) outstanding with several of the TFC fleet.. thats why they have not flown.

I think it would be wise for anyone intending to go to contact the collection and see if anymore info is available. And perhaps TFC could post on there website details of confirmed participants as soon as it is possible to do so.
Of course there is still time for things to happen and i’m sure the collection have everything under control. But whilst i am not intending to put people off going, far from it, i think it only fair that paying punters are aware of present matters.

Anyway here’s to a great show with hopefully some surprise arrivals.!

Still waiting for the participants list. It’s usually out this time of year, no?

I’m not speculating in anything really. Wish I knew what “suspended” meant. 😛
